rushing as a sophomore

I was wondering how much of a disadvantage I am at for being a sophomore and also for just now getting my recs done.

As long as you have good grades (above a 3.0) are sociable, and have rec letters you will be perfectly fine. Sophomores don't even compete with the freshmen generally speaking because each house has quota for sophomores

I rushed a sophomore & had no problems. Just have good grades & rec letters!
