sorority rankings
by: GoVolsHi so I'm currently in a sorority and I wanted to reach out to any PNM's going through this site. You really just shouldn't. You're going to just see people constantly bashing on other sororities telling them they aren't good enough, or see self ranking. I don't understand why being top tier is so important. You should go through recruitment with an open mind giving each chapter a chance, and not just worry about how high on the stupid sorority rank list you want to be. I went through recruitment with an open mind, and I ended up happier than ever. No, I'm not top tier and I have nothing against those sororities. I have friends in basically every chapter and they're all wonderful girls. Run to the chapter where you feel the most comfortable. Screw other people's opinions. Sisterhood is forever.

Sisterhood is rarely if ever, 'forever'. All i hear is people bashing their so called 'sisters' and by junior year, are normally sick of them entirely. I'm going inactive thise year because i just can't take all the cliques and backstabbing. I do agree the ranks are stupid and self ranking is what's on here.

I'm really sorry you had a bad sorority experience, because mine has been nothing short of amazing. I have sisters who support me, encourage me, and inspire me to be a better person. I can honestly say the person I am today is so much better than the person I was coming into college because of my chapter. I am a part of an authentic sisterhood and am surrounded by other women that are passionate about helping others and much more. I guess it really depends on your chapter and the people you surround yourself once in it, but for me- sisterhood really is forever (as cheesy and as cringeworthy as that sounds).
