Try not to take anything too personally. I know it's hard not to but you have to keep the right mind set. Also don't go in with a top three or five or whatever because you more than likely will be disappointed so keep a open mind. Also just because you have a great conversation with someone doesn't always mean you're going back the next day. Recruitment can be kinda messed up but trust the process and believe you will end up exactly where you're meant to be. I rushed as a sophomore as well and I am very happy where I am.

If you are a freshman right now at Tennessee then why on Earth would you come to this site for information? Do you have no friends in sorority to ask? If are going to be a sophomore you don't know anyone in the Greek system then why do you want to join? This site is just mean and horrible. It is good you didn't rush as a freshman, during recruitment I will talk to girls who have rushed as sophomores or even Juniors and one of the questions is why didn't you rush freshman year or why do you find greek life attractive now? The best answer and this is the very very best answer is you didn't realize what a positive influence it could be or my friends love it so I wanted to try or "wanting to be part of something bigger". Do not say the you had no interest/disliked Greek life but changed your mind. Just play it off like you didn't know much about it. Be your self, spend plenty of time on blogs about recruitment and sorority life. Just be yourself. Those sites are good for some dos and don'ts and some style tips. You do not have to spend a ton of money for rush. Maybe buy a few things but you can mix your stuff with your friends. You obviously see what sorority girls on campus wear. Fresh color and cut, eyebrows and simple manicure is where I'd put my $$$
