Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority at University of Tennessee at Knoxville - UTK 3.7 These girls kinda scare me but at least their house smells like cookies and all the members seem to enjoy it. They are the copy-paste kind of sorority if you know what I mean. No hate, just an observation. I always expect them to be mean girls, but they are overall pleasant individuals. I feel pretty neutral about them and I haven’t had any specific bad experiences. The only major critique is they really emphasize how wealthy all the members are and they require a lot more time/energy from their members than most other chapters. They commit to the brand for sure.

Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority at University of Tennessee at Knoxville - UTK 2.5 If you are rushing for status then go ahead, but if you are truly looking for meaningful friendships or any sort of a fun time, steer clear. They did homecoming with sig chi last year and supposedly the guys hated it cause the girls are hard to talk to, boring and judgmental. As a whole, they make their personality about looks and money, they are definitely pretty though. Just remember everyone will be nice during rush, that’s not how it’s going to be once you’re actually a member. I have met ONE nice phi mu and for a group of 300 something girls, that isn’t a great ratio.

Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority at University of Tennessee at Knoxville - UTK 2.7 I used to be in this chapter. Girls are not super friendly or open to meeting new people that join their chapter. I’ve seen “mean girl” behavior constantly displayed by the newest pledge class and sophomore pledge class. Even worse, half the sorority members doesn’t attend their own events because it’s not fun. Recruitment is hell each year and they literally don’t care that they play into the stereotype of only picking blonde-haired girls to be in their chapter. In terms of ranking, they are considered to be one of the best, but there are so many girls that end up dropping this sorority after freshman year. There are so many other good sorority’s here.

I would say it is top tier but these girls have no sisterhood and the only reason they “like” the sorority is bc they’re on “top”

Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority at University of Tennessee at Knoxville - UTK 1.9 This is known to be a popular sorority but 90% of the girls in it are absolutely miserable!!! They constantly tear each other down and act horrendously toward one another. The drama never ends!!
