They are a historically black sorority however they are Panhellenic many people are not as familiar with them because they were founded at hbcu’s if you haven’t heard of them you should research it. Many of the more prominent sororities and fraternities were discriminatory towards minorities which is one of the reasons that hbcu’s created their own Greek fraternities

If you've never heard of this sorority how can you objectively in all fairness rate them and submit an accurate review? Alpha Kappa Alpha is apart of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) sorority community for African American women. When African Americans were finally accepted into predominantly white colleges and universities, today, you will find African American sororities and fraternities on most campuses throughout the country.

They are slowly but surly getting their faces out in a diversified environment. They will now have a house in sorority village so now all races know who they are. They a beautiful, classy, and most of all intelligent. I come from a legacy of AKAs and OES, so I only have great things to say about the sorority.
