Bid Day Information

Hi! Can someone explain how UTC does Bid day? Do the girls run to the individual houses or do they go to a quad or arena or something? I haven't read any info for that day and it seems like all the houses are not located together. Do parents come? I know some schools allow them and some do not. Thanks for any insight!
