being a legacy

Being a legacy is definitely something highly considered. If you're a legacy you have a very high chance of getting to pref (or at least round two), as long as you aren't just an awful person haha. With that being said, they usually don't hand you a bid just because you're a legacy. You have to show them you have room to grow within their sorority and that you'll fit in well (don't try too hard to fit into one just because you're a legacy though).

You won't (shouldn't) get dropped simply because you're a legacy to someone else. I know of plenty women who are legacies to one sorority but are happy in another.

This whole process is all about YOU and where you feel you will fit in best. Keep in mind the sorority knows themselves best, so if you're dropped, its because it is not a good fit for you.
