The number of girls taken by each chapter depends on how many more girls each individual chapter needs to meet quota. More can be taken if the chapter chooses to but the ideal for most is just to reach quota because during spring recruitment it is a lot more laid back and harder to get to know the pnm's before extending a bid. Spring recruitment is mostly small house parties on various nights of the week with much less structure than formal. Going through formal allows you to get a look into each house instead of picking what you think may be better for you, which in most cases the house you want may not be your home. I strongly suggest going through formal recruitment instead of spring so you really get a fair chance to see where you belong.
