You sound like a kid who won't get a bid.

It depends.

If you were a popular guy in high school, you'll get a bid and should only worry about the top fraternities (assuming if you were actually one of the popular guys at your school)
Now if you were an average Joe back in high school, you'll have a chance at the middle tier fraternities and might pick a bottom tier fraternity for a safety.
If you weren't a popular guy at all, then you'll have to rush a bottom tier fraternity if you want a bid.
