by: panwomanFUN FACT: Our housing was made the way it is, because USF originally was going to be a school without greek life. Our first Dean did not approve of Fraternity and Sorority life and wanting nothing of the sort on campus. After years of convincing the only way Greek could come on campus was if the housing was made to look like regular dorms, (so if we screwed up, we could all be kicked off and our housing would be turned into freshman dorms). Greek village at USF shows our history and tells a story. Much like uniforms in private schools, our houses look the same on the outside but that is the perfect way to ensure that no other has an unfair advantage of housing because they have more money or have been on campus longer. After many decades, were still here. We have proved to our advisors that we are responsible hardworking students, we have aspirations and life goals. We hold many of the leadership positions on campus and I couldn't be more proud to call myself a Panhellenic woman.
