Not to be ass or anything but the poster below me is spot on. I like the Greek Life people personally but professionally we could do better. and can someone please tell them to fix/update the pann website? it's embarrassing. ucf uses the same company - and their website is so much better because they actually have staff that do more than work hard - they have staff that produce results.

greek life staff is so busy with stupid out of town conferences on USF's dime than fixing the website, putting efforts into recruiting or anything else. maybe if the some people on staff stopped acting like they were still in college and start acting like student affairs professionals we would have 700 pnms this year too.

The last couple posts are exactly right. Not to name names (if you are greek then you know exactly who this is directed at) but these people have very very good salaries, degrees in who knows what (something BS like "college affairs" which pretty much means they get to act like a college kid for a decade but get paid). They would rather be on facebook or lunch break then lift a finger to do something for greek life. They are content to fly under the radar and produce OK results. It's sad when I watch active pan sisters put their blood, sweat and tears into recruitment. it's grueling disaffiliated or not. And to watch our advising staff be lazy.

So i was very overwhelmed with the whole rush thing this semester. I have met a bunch of fraternity boys but not too many sorority girls... The boys say its a great experience to rush and that I could very well in USF greek life, but girls outside of Greek tell me im in for a headache and a bad reputation... what do you all think?

so so true. as a recent alum from my sorority that is graduating this dec who didnt participate in recruitment this year (cause i'm alum) - I could not agree more - and looking from the outside in I could see the student affairs people trying but trying aint cutting it. delayed recruitment should have made quota double - instead it created a headache for the girls and caused problems the first week of school. Pann needs to pick - which should come first - a sorority or school. I know for a fact some girls missed classes to attend recruitment and if i were their professor or parent i would be PISSED. and all that hassle the first week for what? Point to tangible or quantifiable things that have improved since certain people have been employed and ill shut up.

uggg. the staff make me sick - given how much money they make and how much they praise each other. its clear they THINK they are just fabulous. Pay someone else who actually knows what they are doing and doesnt still act like they are still a college student what USF pays them and maybe then we'll see change.

the last few posts were 100% correct. we do need an updated website! Why is it that every other major school in FL has a updated and well designed website? What are we paying these people???

so can we do anything??? they really spend too much time patting themselves on the back. it would be pathetic - but it's not because so much could be done with greek life at usf. it kind of makes me angry given how much they get paid and how little they do.... and they do take a lot of trips - I wonder if we pay for those "conferences?"

Girls in sororities do 95% of the work for FREE. OFSL do 5% for a large salary.
