I hate being in my chapter
by: newmemI am in a “bottom” tier. it’s not the worst one but it isn’t a top three. the girls are mean. they are two faced and fake and if they have a preconceived notion of you, then there’s no way to fix that. There isn’t a single girl in the chapter who i would consider is my sister and im really contemplating dropping. there isn’t any sisterly love and the girls don’t even talk to each other outside of planned events. When i wanted to join a sorority I imagined the complete opposite and am really disappointed. I guess im looking to see if anyone else feels the same way or just to rant.

Okay, after a lot of research I’m sticking it out until after recruitment next year to see if I can get a little or new sisters I could actually CLICK with. I also keep comparing greek life here vs. FSU or UCF and ours if definitely… different. But just because it gives me something to do for now I’m going to stick with it and see if it gets any better.

I’m a member of a large house in UCF Greek life and I can tell you that our UCF Greek rank page is run by one single chapter who writes all of the ranks. That’s not at all what the ranks are irl. Greek life would be better without the drama caused by that one single chapter. All of us other chapters have to pretend to be nice to that one chapter even though nobody likes them. If we say anything, that one chapter launches a full attack campaign on our house. It’s not as good as it might look from the outside, there’s drama and fake everywhere. Just stick to your sisters and forming bonds. Start small- plan coffee or a movie night with just a couple of girls you want to get to know better.
