Move SAE and Fiji down to bottom, switch ZBT with K Sig

By: This is v wrong
by: SorryApr 8, 2020 11:13:00 AM

K Sig doesn’t have 50+ members, ZBT does. SAE has 40+ members and won philanthropies. Fiji also has 40+ but didn’t win anything.

Amount of brothers is irrelevant and has nothing to do with tiers. SAE is not mid tier, and ZBT is not Upper mid tier. Simple as that.

Disagree, that’s how success works. The more successful of a fraternity, the more people want to join. The more brothers you have, the more contacts they know get invited to parties. Numbers play a big role

Sounds like you give a bid to everyone who rushes you lol everyone in the Top and Upper mid category are selective (except for SNU) which is why they normally don’t have a large pledge class. It’s about quality, not just having a heart beat

Define Quality, what should they bring to the table?

Think of it this way. If SAE gets 20 new members but they were all nerds, and then Phi Delt pulls only 10 new members but they were all studs...who did better after rush? Phi Delt for sure. Another example if you can’t understand would be if someone gave me a choice of 10 apples (all good quality) or 20 apples (meh quality with a few rotten ones in there) I’m gonna choose the good 10 even though 20 is clearly more

You’re explaining quality but how are you testing it? Can’t recruit goobs obviously, who isn’t goobs and look like studs? Athletes. Well how do you test their athleticism? Oh IM’s. So winning IM’s proves quality.

Yeah I agree with you there, being athletic would definitely help. Which is why the athletic frats are typically Snu, Sig Ep, and Sigma Chi. SAE has done very well in IM’s and actually came in 2nd place this year which is great for them, but this is the difference. You can be an athlete but ALSO have a combination of being antisocial and unattractive. If girls don’t find you attractive, and you don’t have the social skills to talk to them...being an athlete doesn’t make you a stud. Does SAE have some athletes? Sure. Are they studs? Not at all.

Are they good at talking to girls? Maybe, who is to say, that’s an organic convo between them and neither of us know what actually goes down in the dms. Girls are attracted to success could care less about social skills. Proof is NFL players who can’t read but still get chicks. Winning is always the biggest flex. To caveat that though, people going through rush see 2nd place IM’s with multiple sports wins and it inspires them to join a winning organization. As time progresses more and more people with said social skills join. We are seeing so with SAE going from bottom, unorganized, and goobs, to out competing other lower org peers, to now being 2nd overall in IM’s.

But with what you’re saying...wouldn’t they be more inclined to rush the frat who got 1st place which is Sig Ep? I don’t think they would be as impressed with a 2nd place performance

Yes Sig Ep would be the top choice, but does that mean 2nd place will get 0 people from not being first? No not all, they will just get slightly less athletes, but still more than a fraternity without a good IM program. The only other thing they would look at is what else do you do besides IM’s and when they find out Sig Ep doesn’t do much else, then they don’t rush because they are in need of a much more well rounded fraternity.

That’s like saying LSU beat Clemson, does that mean Clemson gets 0 new recruits? No they just get less, but with the amount of players leaving LSU and the amount retained at Clemson who has odds to win following year and which one would you most likely go join.

Now with that being said, imagine fraternities as colleges:

If you had a choice of where to go, where would you go?

Academic Schools (helps resume but not fun): Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Harvard

Party Schools (Fun, but people think of you different for going there and you either will fail out or have a useless degree with most likely a bad gpa or a pointless good gpa): Arizona State, West Virginia, ECU, Chico State

Athletic Schools (Also Fun, partying is good while winning, but bad while losing also not so great with academics but not as bad as party schools. Typically large population): Alabama, UGA, Clemson, LSU

Well rounded schools (fun, typically does well constantly at one or more sports, and a useful degree and gpa): Ohio State, UNC, Florida

You also have schools that aren’t good at anything, might as well be community colleges

Of course it’s all personal preference on choice, but imagine one well rounded school is doing extremely well one year and currently has the cheapest tuition of them all (advantageous to go there) let’s say UNC for example, now let’s say a rival party school is having a bad year ECU is fitting. Now imagine ECU keeps post slander about UNC yet has been outdone by them all year other than admissions but it’s close. Now which school looks really bad and should quit posting slander?

When have they not been a bottom tier frat? They have the largest amount of goobers and girls don’t like them because they’re irrelevant. They get low turnouts to their parties, and the few girls that do show up to the parties are geeds & Chi O’s. Also that was my first post so what do I keep pushing? Lol

The exact same message was stated above so that’s a lie, so you’re saying a bottom frat can never move up, weird every fraternity up there at one point moved up since 2012. Weren’t aware you (in another frat) came to their parties and counted people going in so how would you know turnout. Old reliable bad parties is dumb argument. Also chi o does not in fact hang out with either of them They hang out with DTD. Again how would you know? Goobs is also hilarious. Those goobs out did you somewhere at some point so what does that make you.
