sigma nu

by: PNM

I got a call back for Sigma Nu's "Closed Event". I'm uneasy about it because I only went to one event and spoke to maybe 3 or 4 of the guys, didnt really get that involved in conversation but yet still got a call back. I don't know if they honestly are interested in me or just picking people because their "Traditional" event is sooner than planned. Thing is another fraternity that I am interested in is hosting an informal event during the same time and I would like to meet more brothers, not just 3 or 4 like I did with Sigma Nu. Should I go to meet more brothers or is it normal that meeting that few number of brothers and only going to one event still raises enough interest to get you closer to a bid???

I just know those closed events are very important and are almost guaranteed a bid if you show up. Plus free dinner. It's a TFM.

There shouldn't be any closed events at the same time as other (informal) events

On Friday, PIKE has a normal event while SigEp and Kappa Sigma have a formal event at the same time. Has anyone done two invite only events on the same day? Like summer at a one house for an hour then dinner at the other house?

Go to the chapter where you're the best fit with. If you think those 4 short conversations make you think Sigma Nu is the best fit for you, go for it. If not, you could still go to the dinner to get a better feel of the frat or just go to other frats event. Remember rush is closing up so make up your midn.

btw IDK what is normal. I had 3 frats that I knew I wanted to join by the informational session. I spoke to at least 20 guys from every chapter before I got a bid card. But hey IDK some people may had the time to talk to all 60 guys or maybe they already knew the VP of Recruitment and automatically got a bid.
