dear minority guys, this is for you all.

Whether you are already a member in Greek life or you are looking to join a chapter in IFC, this message is for you. Please do not let the people on this steer you from going through recruitment. These are insecure people who try to compensate for their lack of power by posting here anonymously. I promise you, NO ONE who posts here will say the same things in person. So completely ignore them.

Go through recruitment so you can show these people that you are not intimidated by a system that is predominantly white. Go through recruitment so you can make your way through a system that these same people try to keep you out of. Go through recruitment so you pave the path for and inspire men of your background to do the same in the future. Go through recruitment so you can be more courageous in a room where very few people will look like. Go through recruitment so you can show these people that you will rise above with or without their approval. Go through recruitment so that after college you can proudly say that you won a system that sought every single day to bring you down. Go through recruitment so you can rise above the hate on this website (the hate obviously comes from real people in Greek).

Do it. For yourself. For those who will look up to you in the future and after you graduate. For those whose voices don’t get heard. If you can live through IFC at USF, you can achieve racism anywhere else in America and the world. Go through recruitment to gain that practice and courage.
