ranks aren’t stable anymore

I believe ZTA could be top after fall. Not because ZTA is all that great, because the system is so unstable right now.
I have been here a while and one thing I will vouch is no one ever really moved rank before this past year. You could argue (against a lot of criticism) that maybe ONE chapter was a single spot higher/lower during a particularly good/bad semester, but no one really shifted tiers until this past year/year and a half.
The fact that KD jumped from 4/5 to 1/2 from early 2017 to mid 2018 is bananas. And within barely more time than that DDD went from solidly 3rd and top tier to 4, arguably 5 and decidedly (upper) mid tier
Two or three years ago sig delt was a solid middle 6ish, definitely above gamma phi and now no one would place them that high and there are some who can make a solid case that they’re 8 or 9.
These are all HUGE signs that we’re in a big transitional phase as a community right now.
That’s why it’s so hard to come to a consensus about a solid rank order: everyone is moving.
