tri delta is rude asf?

So I live in The Village and there’s a Tri delt I met during recruitment who lives here too. She basically walked past me today and saw me. I smiled and she didn’t even smile back! Or said hi either! I got invited back to Tri delt but I want to drop. I don’t want to be in a chapter where 1. Sisters can’t recognize PNMs 2. Sisters are unfriendly.

We’re all freshmen. We’re being nice to you actives as much as we can. We’re trying to make sisters and friends. The least we can expect is you to at least smile back. Please get off your high horse!

They literally talk to 800+ pnms. Give them a break

^^^ Just as they said the chapter women speak and see many PNMs each day of recruitment. While the Friendly Contact Rules say they are allowed to wave and smile to a PNM they are not supposed to engage with a PNM in case it gives a PNM false hope of being invited back to their chapter. Also, remember USF is a large community and they may also not have seen you. I know when I walk I may see someone but not actually "see" them.

There are so many possibilities, I think you’re just resorting to the worst case scenario- especially if you got invited back.
