I tried out for USF cheerleading, I had the skills, but got cut because I didn't have the "right look" - So I decided to go thru recruitment. I was dropped from every house I was genuinely interested in. So far, college sucks.

usf is a division 1 school and so yeah nationally ranked is pretty impressive. I cheered in high school and didnât try out because while I was good, I only had a back handspring and wasnât an awesome base. You know what I didnât do? Act like I couldâve made it but âdidnât want to deal with the coaches.â
Iâve met girls like you. You tear down things because youâre jealous. Not only do the really good cheerleaders cheer here, plenty of really good cheerleaders donât even make it. I have a feeling I know who this is and jealousy isnât a good look for you. Youâre in a sorority with nice girls and I often feel sad how bad you made your org look on here.

To the OP- I am sorry you are frustrated with your college experience thus far. I too tried out for USF cheer two years ago and I was cut as well- it is hard to make the team, contrary to what was said here, it is very competitive, they are nationally ranked and very good. But hey, good for you for giving it a shot! As far as recruitment goes, stick with it, I know its hard not to take it personally when you are dropped from a house that you feel a connection with. There is a house for you, and I'm sure if you give it a chance you'll find forever friends. I know I did.
