how do frat houses work at usf?

I definitely want to rush next fall for my freshman year but I don't understand how the frat houses work at USF. My friend whos a junior said he didn't join greek life because it was bad here?
He said they have dorms instead of houses

So does USF not have any houses? If I joined a fraternity would I be living in regular dorms with everyone? I'm living in Juniper Poplar Hall

Dont rush a fraternity at usf... theyre awful. Greek village is just smaller dorm buildings with greek letters on the outside. There are video cameras so the school can see when you throw parties and screw you over, undercover cops walk around greek village, and the police station is right across the street.

Greek like at USF may not be like traditional schools but it's 100 times better than not being in it at all

A couple of fraternities have off campus housing arrangements which are decent...Phi Delt has by far the best set up.

This may be misleading to you..Phi delt probably has the best housing situation but they are still lower middle tier

Phi Delt is definitely mid tier at least and their housing situation is BY FAR the best which is why they'll probably continue to get good PCs

Your friend is wrong. Some frats have houses on campus and others have campus off campus. Any frat or sorority without a house is a complete joke.
