best sororities/info

Hello starting school in the fall and want to rush. What are the best, most involved and fun sororities?
Also do all chapters have houses and meal plans?

Heres the thing about tiers, I'll use sororities as the example here:
I have a friend who is in a sorority at usf. She is beautiful, smart and friendly, but she doesn’t like to party. So when looking at sororities on campus, there are several “top tier” chapters that are pretty and are considered the ‘best’ by the frats. But they love to party, so they weren't a good match for my friend. I would recommend other sororities for her individual personality. She will probably join a middle to bottom tier chapter. You can be pretty and be in middle or bottom houses. This is why I don't like tiers, you can't compare houses because they are all different in what they value.

I'm just going to say that's straight BS. You can be in a top tier and not party. Plenty of top tier girls don't party/or just do so occasionally. You're so wrong it's not even funny and I would hate for someone to see this and believe what you're saying to be true.
You can be perfectly happy in a top sorority and not be a party girl

That might be true for some but it would be such a lie to say that the top tier girls don't party harder than the middle and bottom tiers. Everyone has a different experience they are looking for out of greek life and thats okay even of it isn't the same as yours.

Yeah everyone does but you don't have to be into going out all the time and partying to be in a top tier lol

I know but they tend to party, drink and smoke more if were being honest. I'm not saying it's a bad thing I'm just saying you'll fit in better there if those are the things you're into.

@pnm depends on what you want. If you want the typical sorority experience -as much as you can get at usf- then try to get into ADPi, tridelt, DG, or KD. You could also consider ZTA or SDT. The rest aren't even worth it unless you're just looking for friends which in that case you'd probably find more friends outside of Greek and have more flexibility
If you're pretty and not awkward you'll probably be able to get into one of those no problem

Wow, that is super rude to literally dismiss almost half of the Panhellenic sororities here as "not even worth it". The four that you didn't mention are all wonderful organizations with a lot to offer, especially for PNMs not looking for the "stereotypical experience". Honestly, you never know what organization will appeal to you. Nothing is wrong with the organizations you mentioned, but I know when I was a PNM, I gravitated towards some that people label "bottom tier". Don't dismiss any of these organizations without seeing for yourself first. All have amazing women and potential to build lifelong friendships.

Not rude just honest. The experiences isn't even remotely the same. You probably think I'm a top tier girl but I'm not lol. I dropped a lower tier because the experience is depressing at usf if you're not in a top or at least Mid. As a girl it's better not being Greek imo if you aren't in a "good" sorority.
My honest and non politically correct advice, sorry if you don't agree with my opinion. If I had known what to expect I would have done things differently but I'm happy now so it's fine. If your experience is so great in a lower tier why not talk about that? You can have a differing opinion

That's the PC and mature response above but in reality try for the best you can get, Greek life is only even slightly decent here if you're in a top tier. Yes everyone goes to the same places true but it's much more enjoyable to be with certain groups
Your experience in a top sorority will be completely different not gonna lie
For guys it's not as important as long as you aren't goofy
Being a geed girl is a way better experience than being low tier here
