greek life

Why is Greek life here subpar. I get that we don't have a Greek row but is that really an excuse to why we cant compete with other schools

Speaking on the fraternity side, I would say it's because a large majority of the guys that come to USF didn't come with the intention of going Greek. Fall rush is always below 400 guys, spring is even lower. It's hard to be relevant on a campus of 40k + students when less than 1 percent are Greek. Add that in with an IFC board that doesn't work, lack of tradition, and the general lack of interest to improve the community as a whole, I think that's why USF Greek life sucks.

I agree with above but also usf started as a commuter school and it's hard to shake that, although so did ucf and their Greek life seems decent, but it's never going to be like fau, uf
On the sorority side I know that many girls in low tier here would legitimately not get.a bid at some schools and our top girls would be mostly mid tier. We lack that type.doesnt mean we aren't getting better though, and as we get better the quality of pnms get better

Depends on how you define successful. Yes, They tend to be "selective" about girls they hang with (only top sororitys) but that might be changing. A lot of them are good looking and fun to be around but many hate them so not sure and they aren't a part of ifc so they aren't Real
