red letters

How important are recs during recruitment? I might be attending in fall from out of state and don't know much about usf )haven't visited yet but just got accepted!!!! So how important are recommendation letters for rush? I know many girls currently in a sorority but rec letters need to be from alumnae I think. I only know how they do it at UNC, so looking to get advice here. Thanks!

Congratulations on your acceptance! Recommendation letters are not necessary like they are at many SEC schools but if you can get them you may as well. Generally you can get the alum to go on their sorority''a website and submit that way, but each house is different. Don't assume a rec letter will have any real sway with getting you in. It's more a letter of introduction.

Also I'm assuming you mean you got accepted for fall and will go through formal recruitment in the fall

Thank you! Yea I mean fall. It is my first acceptance so I'm not positive I will be attending but good to know!
