how important are recs?

Question For those already in a sorority...how important are recs when going through recruitment? I really don't know anyone who I can get recs from. Any advice?

Also, I know at wake all the sororities are very good compared to other schools, but can you give me an idea of approx how many girls go through recruitment and how many get a bid? Thanks!
