rush

I'm from the East and I'll be going to the university of Utah next year, I know that greek life in the east and south are a lot bigger and different than in west. So I was hoping someone could tell me about the Rushing process at Utah. How many days it is, what each day is, what to wear, if I should get recs, if I need to make a resume, just stuff like that! The help would be much appreciated!

it's usually a few weeks after school has started and takes place during a week or a weekend! Houses are smaller but greek life is honestly the best thing I've doe in college and the only real way to have a social outlet at the U! You'll love the U too, I'm from out of state and Salt Lake City is a great place to go to college I love it!!!

also you don't necessarily need recs but if you can get them I'd say why not!! DG and CHIO really value legacy and recommendation so it will really help you there. Kappa values legacy as well and tends to get girls from out of state more bc they are more nationally known. As for dress they will post everything about that before I promise! Panhellenic does a great job at informing you with the little details having things set up to prep you before rush even starts!!

Fact: every chapter gets a good amount of out of state girls. Every chapter at the U is pretty well known nationally. Sure, chi o is stronger in the south, DG in the west and somewhat East, and kappa in the east, but chapter you choose, you don't have to be really worried about the nationally well known part. Just pick a chapter you connect with!
