sorority housing

Soon to be freshman here. What can you tell me about living in a sorority house? Do freshmen live in the dorms and move into the sorority house their sophomore through senior years? Where is the Kappa Kappa Gamma house? I am a legacy to Kappa by my grandmother and she wanted me to get a picture when I came on my campus tour, but I never saw it. My cousin is a Pi Beta Phi and my aunt is a Chi Omega. How do you know in just a few days where you best belong? Was it hard? Was it easy? I'm a little shy, but really want to go through recruitment.
