u of u social scene

I am considering transferring to Utah and I am curious about what the social scene is like! Is it more common for people to go to frat parties or bars!! Also, is the campus bar scene easy on Fake IDs?

Lol I hate to use this site, but I don't know a soul at U of U so desperate times call for desperate measures

frat parties are most common if you join a sorority but theres only basically two good ones on campus so that sucks. Theres no such thing as an "on campus bar" at Utah sadly and you have to go downtown for bars. Bars usually go easy on fake IDs just be careful about which ones confiscate.

The parties are so so fun and a lot of people go to bars it depends on the night

Officially, this is a dry campus, so alcohol is basically not allowed in side campus. But there is a place called big ed nearby which is basically a bar. They do expect tip though (seriously!).

Greek Life is really fun! I would say that its totally worth joining especially if you don't know anyone here because it is such a commuter campus. And I would disagree with there are only 2 top houses. That is so false I feel like Greek life is really different here at Utah, and the tier system docent really apply to us here as it would somewhere else.
