by: rush2015do a lot of people end up with no bid at all? and once you make it to pref does that pretty much mean you're in?

It's all a numbers game. Preffing means you're likely to get in but not guaranteed. Not a lot of girls show up on bid day without a bid anywhere, normally girls drop out before the end of rush or get dropped by everyone before bid day. But that's very unlikely. If it does happen there's tons of chances to COB or rush pi phi!

The replys from SD are correct. Becuase greek life has grown more and more every year, you can basically consider yourself lucky to get a bid anywhere. Last year many girls did not get any bid at all. Word of advice: there's a great chance you will end up in a sorority that is not your first/second/even third choice, but this is not a bad thing at all.

Sororities who don't fill quota or need more members participate in continuous open bidding. Last semester I believe Alpha phi, AXO, KD, and ADPi participated.
