informal rush

by:

What sororities are doing informal rush this fall? I'm a sophomore and I want to rush and I'm not really sure how it works. Do sororities only do fall rush if they didn't get enough girls? Or does everyone do it?

Aphi, adpi, achio, and kd are doing informal. This is becuase some girls dropped a phi and adpi. Not too sure about the reason for achio informal. kd is doing informal because they're still new and probably just need to finish filling their quota, but I think this is their last informal rush.

I think a couple AXOs and KDs dropped too. Doing cob doesn't say anything bad about the chapter, some girls just drop after getting a bid for personal reasons or they just didn't feel at home.

Hi! Usually sororities that do informal rush have to because they didn't get enough members during formal rush such as AChiO or girls who got in during formal recruitment dropped them for reasons such as not fitting in with their choice or other reasons. I think KD is doing informal again just because they chose to since their only a few years old and want to make their sorority bigger, but I don't think they will be doing it again after this year

A sorority is allowed to open bid if they are under total. Total has not been released yet, but sororities likely to do COB are KD, ADPi, A Phi, and potentially AXO.

Sometimes chapters who meet quota during spring recruitment still do fall recruitment because they just happen to be smaller than other chapters on campus for whatever reason, like girls graduating early, happening to be a new sorority (KD) or having an unusually large senior class graduate because they had an unusually large number of upperclassmen pledge one spring. While in some cases it means they did poorly in spring recruitment got a comparatively small pc, it's not always telling of how a sorority operates.
