Why are people actually rushing beta

How are there so many guys rushing beta with everything that happened last semester? I feel like everyone just forgot right away which is really sad.

Everyone rushing likely knows what happened, very easy to find out through this site and many other sources. Tells you what type of people are rushing beta unfortunately :( everyone should stay away now more than ever
