should i be worried about hazing?
by: TransferI will be transferring to USD this fall and have seen some posts on this site about Aphi getting into trouble for hazing. What happened? Is this a widespread problem in USD greek life that I should be worried about?

the frats mentioned above may haze, but if your interested joining in a sorority they mainly do not. Alpha Phi just got kicked off of campus for hazing their recent pledge class, USD takes hazing super seriously so most sororities don't do it and the frats keep it on the down low. Its super different than a big state school so no need to worry too much!

Aphi did not haze. To haze is to force someone to perform a strenuous, humiliating, or dangerous tasks. Everything that they were accused for was performed voluntarily by the new members with their consent. They were used as an example for the rest of the greek community and its embarrassing that it came to the level it got to. With that said and from what I've heard, no one should be scared of joining greek life at this school.
