sorority rankings (confused)

Here and fizz seem to have a pretty clear consensus that the sorority ranking is DG, SDT, KD, Aphi, Gphi, ChiO; but it doesn’t seem like it actually matters. Like the frats are all pretty much the same no? It seems like the only thing that actually contributes to ranking is petty popularity bs that only other people in Greek life pay attention to. Like I’m not sure if people outside can even tell the difference between a DG and a ChiO because it’s that irrelevant. Am I wrong?
