Sororities DO NOT know your gpa. All they know is that you have above a 2.5

They decide who they like based on literally how much they had in common with you and how well they got along with you. Also if you looked cute (aka put together and like you tried).

The number each sorority take is based on how many girls make it to pref night. Right now the edtimate is around 35 per sorority but that isnt set in stone

Sorority women decide who they like just as you might decide who you want to be friends with. Basically, personality is key. Please don't listen to all the talk about some chapters only choosing "hot girls." Trust me, there are varied body types and looks in all chapters, and sororities are about sisterhood.

All sororities look for women who will be assets to their chapter, aka leaders and people who will go above and beyond the minimum required meetings and help make their chapter shine. These include girls with great extracurriculars and passion for getting involved.

That said, you don't have to be a leader to be a great asset to a chapter. You can also just be a funny, kind, interesting person who they think the sisters will click with.

My biggest advice is to be positive, upbeat, ask questions, and show interest in each and every woman you meet, even if you don't think this chapter will be "for you." You really never know and the process will surprise you.
