If you are nice and get along with the girls they will want you to join them. If certain sororities discriminate then you dont want to be in their group anyways. Just be yourself and have fun during recruitment

Being overweight is not a reason that the majority of houses would drop you.
A bad attitude however, definitely is, and calling a house by a mean nickname and not their letters is exceptionally rude. If you decide to go through rush make sure to give each house a FAIR shot, or you will be reported to your RhoGam and potentially kicked out of recruitment.

If you would actually pay attention to the girls in the sororities and not just their false reputations, you'd see that every house has girls of all different shapes and sizes. You're either joining a house for the people or you're doing it wrong. And just to let you know, insulting a house for being accepting and nonjudgmental says a lot more about you than it does them.

okay lets be real here, this is a PNM posting.... she probably didn't even realize that "EAT" was something offensive, that IS what the letters look like. also, a lot of people say that around campus (not that it makes it right or acceptable) but chances are this PNM just didn't know it wasn't an accepted nickname. Chapters around the US actually have philanthropy events named using the word EAT with their letters... so give the girl a break, inform of the better name (Sig Delts), and stop ganging up on her.

as for you, PNM.... many (actually I think all) have at least one or a few overweight girls. It comes down to your personality. Of course some people chose to stereotype and will exclude you but that could be said for anybody. its human nature to judge, but with an incredible personality and attitude, you won't have a problem.
