spring recruitment

I would check out the houses for spring rush. Some houses don't give sophomores bids, but most do. If you find a house that you like that is open for spring rush then I would go for it. I rushed the spring of my freshman year and am glad I didn't have to deal with the fall rush madness. Plus you are more likely to get the house you want in the spring since there are less girls

Houses can't not give bids to sophomores because lots go through but there are some who may be pickier with the sophomores they take. Also it's true spring rush is a lot more lax than fall, but not every house is open and there are significantly fewer spots so it's actually harder to get the house you want or it might not even be open. I would still check out spring and if it doesn't go the way you want then don't be discouraged and do fall! Chances are house will remember you from spring meet the Greeks or recruitment and be happy to have you in their pledge class of 30 something
