dropping out and pledging again next year

by:

I got into a sorority and I really don't feel like I like it, its a great sorority but I feel like its just not for me. I'm going to give it some time but if I still don't feel comfortable is it okay to drop out and then rush again next fall?

don't stay in a group if you are uncomfortable. You can always rush in the spring. I wouldn't recommend fall rush again just because you will have to go back to the house you dropped again and it could become awkward. Either way, do what you feel is right for you

I'm pretty sure that if you accept a bid that you can't rush again for another calendar year. So next fall would be the next possible time. If you don't feel comfortable with the group, a sorority is a big investment, both in time and in money. If your heart isn't in it, it will show. That being said, you've already invested a lot of time and money in rushing. I'd give it a few weeks to wait until things calm down and see how you feel with your pledge class. Ultimately, they are going to be the ones that make our break your experience. But at the end of the day, it's up to you. Good luck op!

give them a chance. I don't think you can really tell if you like a group until you hang out with them more. I would give it a few weeks. Hang out with them, get to know them. Have fun. Make the most of this experience

I agree to stick with it. A new pledge class can change the whole game...trust me. Give it time.
