Don’t Support Starkey - Do Better DZ

Starkey Hearing Foundation is harmful to the Deaf community and their culture. It relies on the belief that deaf people should be “fixed” so that they can fit in better with the hearing world. Rather than celebrating Deaf culture, they focus on finding ways around it. It can be equated to Autism Speaks.

I know a few of you DZ girls are in ASL classes. Please reach out to any of your professors to learn more about how this organization is harmful.

DZ’s other philanthropy is a wonderful thing to support! They support and encourage the Deaf community and its culture! Please support that one, just not Starkey!
