spring recruitment

Could anyone give any more information on how spring recruitment works for sororities? How many are typically open and how does the process work? All I know is that it's a lot different than formal recruitment.

not many houses will be open for rush in the spring. It's very informal. Sometimes houses have to invited you to rush and some have open recruitment events. If there is a certain sorority you are thinking about, I would start talking to some of their members. Make friends with them and hopefully if they have a spot for their spring class they will extend you an invitation. Good Luck!!!

I went through spring recruitment and loved it--you really get a feel for the houses that you don't necessarily get in fall because you get to talk to more sisters. Keep an open mind, same as in fall, and hopefully you'll find somewhere you want to be! If you don't get that feeling though, go through next fall, but keep in mind that unfortunately some houses don't take sophomores

Houses are not allowed to discriminate based on your grade. I have known Juniors who received a bid. Honestly, the houses are just looking for someone who fits in well with them.
