poll: are there sororities based on majors?

It really depends what you mean. The only social sorority at Pitt based on major is Phi Sigma Rho, which is for engineering. Some social sororities might have a lot of members who happen to be the same major but it's not a rule. And there are professional/honors co-ed fraternities based on major but they're not specifically social, even though they may have internal social events. Does that answer your question?
