fourth year fall frat rush

by: Geed No More

I've gone through spring rush three times and fall rush twice, and yet I still haven't gotten a bid anywhere. Do fraternities ever give bids to fourth years? Would it be smarter to rush here again, or should I just transfer so that I can pledge at another school?

Sometimes it's just not meant to be bro. I wouldn't stress about it too much, greek life is fun but there are definitely other things you can do with your time.

You could try to contact one of the new fraternities that recruit even after IFC formal rush has ended.

i probably wouldn't waste your time anymore man it gets harder to get a bid every year so after second year i feel like theres basically no chance...i didnt even no third years could rush

It's really first years only, man. If a second year squeezes in to a pledge class it's usually because one or more second-year brothers are already friends with the guy and are vouching for him big or because the guy is a Varsity athlete -- typically football, baseball, lax.

I personally wouldn't waste your time if you're 2nd-3rd-4th year (unless you are 2nd year and friends with a lot of guys in a particular house). Just make good grades and join a good company or profession and make some money. Plenty of other good clubs and fraternal groups out there for working-adults, also.

don't listen to these guys, you have plenty of time. there are literally fifth and sixth years in my fraternity. that's the beauty of it; once you pledge, you don't have to care about school anymore, and you can be here as long as you want!

SPERP might be colonizing in the fall, give them a look over.
