They actually seem to have a pretty good pledge class for the most part and I could see them rising to middle tier in coming years if they do well during rush

There seem to be some nice girls but also a lot of awkward, shy types. Girls that don't do well in regular recruitment. And their house is so far from everything.

It's like The Island of Misfit Toys.

I don't see much changing but time will tell.

I disagree, most of the ones I know are pretty cool and just fell through the cracks of formal rush for one reason or another. Also their house isn't in a bad location and it's really nice so that'll probably be a big draw for girls during rush next year. If they put together a good group for recruitment and minimize the presence of the few misfits they have then it could work out quite well.

They're full of really fun smart and nice girls. They're recolonizing and the girls wanted to take advantage of that and make the sorority their own. No one is a "misfit" they just not superficial and didn't have luck in formal rush

If that many girls "fell through the cracks" during formal recruitment then it seems like the whole recruitment process needs an overhaul. No one was turned away from Tri Sig this year. Unless a new sorority "recolonizes" every year what's to keep this from happening again?

I was dropped by most of the houses early on during formal recruitment. I have found my home at Tri Sigma and couldn't be happier. It all worked out in the end but I do think formal recruitment is harsh. There has to be a better way.

About 400 girls dropped formal rush and about 100 are in Tri Sigma. Lots of first and second years, a few third too.

also a lot of girls didn't even do formal rush in the first place but later decided they wanted to try out being in a sorority

Not sure why formal recruitment can't be more like Tri Sigma's...it was a much warmer, welcoming experience.
