is it true that sororites look at your financial records? if i'm not well off or on financial aid will that hurt my chances of getting a bid?

Legally they cannot access your fin aid records. All judgments about wealth are done from superficial observations. If a group bases it decisions on perceived money then why would you want to be apart of them. Look for quality.
