how popular is greek life here?
by: CuriousI'm all about Greek life but I ended up dropping DDD at my school and now I can't participate in anything Greek anymore :( Now that I'm transferring to be closer to home I'm wondering what it'll be like being a GDI. Is Greek life here as popular as schools like Bama and Ole Miss?

Greek life is prevalent at UVA especially in night life but you don't need it to go out or be cool... One of the great things about UVA is people don't tend to hang out with just their houses. Everyone has best friends in other houses or not in a house at all. My best friend since first year is a GDI and I rushed and joined a sorority and I still hang out with her just as much before as I do now. It's not like Bama. It's not nonexistent, but you can have a killer social life without it.
