formal rush
by: 3rd YearI am a 3rd year interested in rushing in the spring and I know that it is tough in general for a 3rd year to get a bid but if I had a recommendation from an alumni for one of the sororities do you think I would have a chance?

No. Why do you want to rush as a 3rd year? Recs don't really do much for you at this school, as much as I have tried to convince people they should. This isn't Alabama. You can be independent and still have a life, and not be treated like a second-class citizen. Everyone will be younger than you, and frankly most fraternity guys here are immature and won't be settling on any girl for another 10-12 years. Come to accept the fact that in the extraordinary event you got a bid, you'd likely just be another rayban-wearing chick in the crowd...and an old AF one at that. The pledge class babysitter. I wouldn't suggest it.
