You could be right, but I think those three distinctions are definitely arguable.

i agree too, except that this one:

KD > AXO

is not arguable...if SK keeps improving, it could be at KDs level and maybe even surpass them...but not AXO.

Transferring to UVa this fall and am thinking of rushing. One thing I am curious about, is it possible to be in a sorority and have friends outside of the sorority? I know, I know, part of joining is for the sisterhood, but I am curious as to how much of your time will be spent on the sorority...

Of course you can have friends outside of the sorority! Although sororities do a lot of stuff together, all of the social events are almost always optional. There are over 100 girls in a sorority, so not every girl goes to every event, and they don't always go out together. In fact, most of the girls I know in sororities have best friends in other sororities. How much you get out of a sorority is based on how much you put in, which is completely up to you.

On average, how many social activities are there per sorority? I know there is usually a X-mas formal fall semester and then another one in the spring. But how many date functions and mixers are there? And what's the difference between the 2?

Date functions are generally once a month, and maybe a couple of mixers per month. Date functions are where the sister can take anyone to the event - sometimes they even bring one of their girl friends. They're generally themed, and tend to be at bars or other locations since sororities can't have parties at their house (ISC rules). Mixers are when the entire sorority basically has a mini-party with another fraternity, generally at the fraternity's house. These are either events on their own, right before a frat has an open party, or fraternities/sororities mix at larger events like Foxfield and share a plot.

How many members do most sororitys have, on average? And does UVa have a quota during rush for new members? What's a "good" or average new member amount for each frat?
