sorority comments

Pi Phi -- I think Pi Phis have pretty much moved to the same level as KKG and KAT. People seem to really like them because they're not as pretentious as the other two.
SK -- Would agree with post below that they have improved and have moved out of the bottom tier. I'd put them at the bottom of the middle and possibly slowly rising.
ZTA -- I would say ZTA has moved from the middle/middle to the top of the middle to be tied with DZ. Some could argue this has been by default because of the drop by APhi, but I think it has more to do with their pledge classes and their relaxed attitudes (don't seem as uptight as others).
KD -- I would say KD might be inching ever-so-slowly and could surpass APhi and move up with DZ/ZTA very, very soon.
Chi-O -- Chi-Os are very similar to KD, in my opinion. With their last two pledge classes, I see a lot of potential.

Overall, all the sororities at UVA are great, and you simply need to find the one that you like that of course, likes you back!

KD,SK, GPB, PiPhi. Im a fourth year and i can see ho much theses house have changed for the better.

You all are talking about sororitys that have improved... how can you not talk about ADPi? I am NOT in ADPi, but I have a few friend in there. They had a hot pledge class last year and they have a hot pledge class this year. They are getting better. Some others are getting better, too, but not in the best way. I think PiPhi has stayed the same, but now, finally, everyone is seeing these girls for the gems that they are. These two sororitys are a group of friends, which if you ask me, is what everyone wants. I wouldn't ever want to be in a sorority that fought and bickered and was clique-y, no matter how popular they are. If you're trying to pick a sorority, pick the one that you feel the most at home. You have to go in blind, per say. Who makes you laugh? Who makes you happy? It's kind of like seeing which guy is right for you, as stupid as it is. I really dislike ranking the sororities. Yeah, look what site I'm on. Different sororitys for different girls.

improving the most: ADPi, SK, GPhi (in that order)

improving a bit:
XO, PBP, KD (in that order)

staying solid: AXO, DDD, DZ, ZTA, DG, KAT

a lot of the people i talked to during rush said they were turned off by KKG and KAT during rush but KAT still managed to fill their pledge class, and both houses already have good reputations so it doesn't matter if their reps are slipping. People were turned off by APhi to a lesser extent. If the sororities that are "improving" get good pledge classes next year the ranks will probably move

if ADPi and GPhi get good pledge classes next year, does hat leave SDT and SSS in the bottom? I really think Gphi and ADPi could become mid-tier sororitys if they get another group of good girls.

i think its too soon to say anything about sdt, at least for another year or two but the girls i know in sdt are great! also i feel like its hard to categorize sororitys as "top" or "bottom" since compared to a lot of other schools all of our chapters are pretty strong

2) DDD / PBP / DG
3) DZ / AP
4) ZTA / KD
5) SK / ACO / CO
6) GPB / ADP
7) SSS / SDT

I think the list is good as it is, I'd just switch PBP and DDD, and maybe KD and ZTA. AP is where it belongs, no need to rank it lower.

Did anyone else notice @ How It Is complains about sorority girls being "catty" and "unclassy", but her post is "catty" and "unclassy"?
