upset rushee - I know of one glitch in the computer system where my friend didn't get asked back to a house she really wanted, even though she found out that they invited her back. Again, we can't know for sure if they actually did invite her back, but I'm pretty sure they did. However, no one could do anything about it because of the rush rules about no rushee contact with sisters during rush.
Also, I don't think recs are required at all. Some sororities take it into account more than others, but usually the girl has to hit it off with the sorority in the first place. Recs can't hurt, though. I have another friend that had a really good rec for a certain sorority but she didn't get it (then again, I don't think that sorority was one of her favorites so she might not have pref'd them).

Tri Delt and Pi Phi have good PCs this year. Some of the prettiest, nicest girls I know ended up in these two.
A lot of girls didn't like Kappa and Theta during rush, and although they have a few very attractive girls, it's obvious that they mostly cared only about money and little else.
DG has an attractive PC as usual. I know some really nice and fun girls that ended up there, but also some not-so-nice. Also that whole lyric thing didn't help.
Despite the self-ranking, Zeta did go up. I know they stole some girls from more "upper-tier" sororities like Theta and Tri Delt. DZ got some really great girls, but basically stayed the same.
From the few girls I know that went APhi, it's not looking good. Like every PC there are attractive girls, but quite a few unattractive too. Kind of match the social climber/"upper-tier" reject bin stereotype.
The rest of the list is relatively the same.
