fraternity transfer

I will be transferring this year and was wondering if I was already initiated into a fraternity from my previous school, will I be accpeted into the one here?

Depends on the fraternity. You might also want to meet the brothers before automatically wanting to join. Different personalities/reputations at different schools.

I don't want to name it but it's a pretty mid-tier fraternity here, does that matter?

Some fraternities will only accept you as a social brother, not a full fledged brother. But it really depends. You will be surprised how much the personalities at some fraternities here different from chapters elsewhere though. High probability you will feel most comfortable hanging out with guys in a fraternity with different letters than your previous one.
