Rush Transfer???
by: user73829473929I'm a guy and looking into transfering to uva next fall. I'm currently a sophomore at my school but it doesn't really have big greek life. Do you think it'd be easy for me to rush a frat as a junior? Also which ones do you think would be worth rushing cause obviously I don't think I'd have time for hardcore hazing but I want to make the most out of it so Idk

As a junior transfer it’d be impossible to get a bid from anything above lower mid. Most of the low and bottom frats have very little hazing though. Go into fall when you transfer and just talk to as many guys as possible as we don’t have an official fall rush so it’s mostly just getting guys in frats to invite you

Honestly only the top frats have a niche like being southern (Zete) but they never take third years. Everyone else takes in people from a lot of different backgrounds so you’d be sure to find some southern kids wherever you go. In terms of specific frats that’d be worth it while also having a good chance for a bid as a third year transfer would probably be ASig, Pi Lam, or TDX. These places have houses, easy pledging, and as long as you’re chill you’d be highly likely to get a bid

Preciate it. What do you think my best options would be? I'm from the south and went to a private school if that gives you an idea of where I'd fit in
