Kappa Sigma faced serious repercussions when the University of Virginia ended its Fraternal Organization Agreement with the fraternity. This decision followed an investigation into hazing allegations, which included reports of physical, verbal, and alcohol abuse directed at new members. The findings led UVA to ban Kappa Sigma from re-establishing its presence on campus. The fraternity is also required to cease all operations, including any unofficial activities, during this time.
