2025 Rush Analysis

TOP:
DKE/elmo
zete/hall

These 4 have consistently been the best fraternities at UVa. They rush competitively, have tough pledging, and excellent social schedules. Expect zete to benefit from ksig getting kicked off as historically they heavily cross rushed.

UPPER:
SAE/phi psi
chi phi/sig chi

Can’t go wrong with these houses. SAE is nown for their darties. Phi psi has some marquee parties but absurd pledging. Chi phis are short but somehow keep good srat relations. Sig chi has a nice house but it’s far away.

UPPER MID:
Beta/SNU
128/ Sammy?
DU

128’s PCs have declined year over year and I don’t expect that trend to reverse. DU and SNU have snuck up in rank as other houses have gotten kicked off recently. Beta is Beta. Sammy has been in trouble, how they come out of it remains to be seen. Expect these houses to benefit from pika’s absence this year, too.

MID:
Dsig/pikapp
Phi society/SERP

The first 3 are solid. SERP historically has had a bad rep but their house keeps them here, barely. Each of these houses could see some movement up or down depending how good their PCs are.

LOWER MID:
chi psi/phi delt
KA/ Asig

Chi psi and phi delt are known for their brotherhood’s diversity, both in terms of race and sexuality. KA has been kicked off for a while but still has a national charter and will probably get their FOA back in 2026 (unlike 128). Also known for being southern. Asig is a fraternity at UVa.

LOWER:
AEPi/sig pi
pi lam/ TDX

AEPi is the jewish frat and keeps an alright social calendar. I've heard that sig pi is knocking on death's door and may have to fold soon. Hopefully they can turn it around I guess. Pi lam was already pretty meh and they just got in trouble for hazing last spring. TDX is also a fraternity at UVa.

BOTTOM:
sig ep/TKE
ATO/ZBT

Honestly don't know much about these houses. Sig ep would move up if they got their old house back, don't know that they ever will. ZBT is new this year which is interesting. I guess we’ll see how they do.

Other notes:
Supposedly kappa sig will continue underground as mccormack hall. I don't think they can keep their house so I left them off of here for the time being. Same goes for theta chi, they own their house and land so they could go underground, we will see if they take a PC. Doesn’t seem like pika will continue, their nationals came down pretty hard on them. Overall, with so many houses in trouble it’ll be interesting to see how rush shakes out next semester, there could be some surprises. Good luck!
